Rene has been involved in underground mining since 1981 in continental Europe, Australia, Indonesia and Ireland before settling in Canada in 2002 to take on the role of President for Thyssen Mining. He is experienced in all facets of underground mining, both from a company's and contractor's perspective. Past responsibilities range from hands-on mining and supervision to mine planning and feasibility studies, mine management and the management of international projects and contracts.

Volker has over 30 years experience in underground specialty mining in Canada, U.S.A. & Germany. He learned the basic mining techniques when working in Germany's deep coal mines and entered the North American market in the early 1980's when transferred to Thyssen's USA subsidiary in Denver, Colorado. He joined the workforce of Thyssen Mining Construction of Canada in 1993, where he has filled the positions of Project Manager, Area Manager and now as Vice President, Operations. His comprehensive experience includes shaft sinking & boring (conventional and mechanical sinking, frozen shaft sinking), track and track-less drift development of all tunnel sizes, longwall operations, roadheader applications, construction and operation of mining and industrial facilities, engineering design & feasibility studies for new as well as existing mines as well as strong senior management skills.

After obtaining his degree as Bachelor of Administration in 1987 and his Chartered Accountant designation in 1990, Jim commenced employment with TMCC in 1994 following stints in public accounting and the public sector. As the Senior Financial Officer for TMCC, Jim directs the commercial and administrative management of TMCC including corporate financing, corporate governance, cash management, financial reporting, risk management, taxation, human resources, payroll, information technology, accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Ron has over 35 years of experience in mining, mine management and the mine services industries. From his 20 year background as a business owner he brings strong organizational, client relation and contract negotiating skills and tactics. Other strong areas of expertise include the costing of consumables and the selection and evaluation of required mining equipment.

Adrian is a Professional Engineer with 21 years of experience in Europe and North America. He has been involved in lateral and vertical mine development projects, as well as underground construction projects. He has accumulated extensive experience in the area of bid preparation, contract negotiations, contract administration and project management.

JD has more than 16 years of experience in underground development and construction projects in the U.S. and Canada.  His background includes an extensive range of experience in all types of underground excavation, such as shaft sinking, conventional & mechanical lateral development, and raise mining in hardrock, potash and domed salt mines.  Other areas of expertise include shaft maintenance, project bidding and planning, and project administration and management.

Jacques has 20 years of experience in various mining consulting projects in Canada and abroad. He worked on ground control problems, stability analysis, site investigation, mine design, water control, grouting design, and feasibility studies. He also worked in instrumentation projects for civil infrastructure assessments and in underground mine ground conditions monitoring as well. He was involved in mining related research and development, and held a professor position at McGill University from 1999 to 2008 in the department of mining engineering. He is now adjunct professor to the mining department at McGill. During his academic career he conducted research activities in rock mechanics, mine backfill and rock drilling technology. Jacques has also authored or co-authored numerous publications, papers, reports, books and Patents.

"Safety Dave" has been employed with Thyssen Mining for 18 years. His work in safety has helped Thyssen Mining to establish new safety goals & set new safety achievements. He prides himself as a team player and enjoys being in the field helping out at the "front line" as much as possible. His expertise includes: Incident Investigation, Workplace Inspections, Supervisor Training, and Safety Management Plan Auditing just to mention a few. "Safety Dave" has developed and coached the Thyssen Mining team in a variety of innovative Safety Programs to ensure the safety of the workforce and promote our corporate philosophy of Safety, Quality & Cost.

Dwayne has 12 years experience with Thyssen Mining, which includes 11 years in the Regina Shop.  He is a Journeymen Heavy Equipment Mechanic with extensive knowledge on surface and underground mining equipment.  His hands-on experience enables him to oversee the management of all site equipment as well as the daily operations of the Regina Shop. He is also responsible for shipping equipment between the US and Canada, and deals with any customs issues in an efficient and professional manner.
Jerzy is a Professional Engineer with comprehensive experience in project management and project engineering. He has vast experience in domestic and international environments including America, Africa, Asia and Europe. His specialized expertise lies in all aspects of underground mine development, design of shaft and hoisting facilities, ore handling, mine ventilation, dewatering and ground freezing.
